Make No Mistake, The China Threat Is Real

<b>From the pen of JB MORRIS, multiple award winning and bestselling author of SETH, comes the sweeping novel about the United States’ greatest strategic and military threat—Communist China.</b>

From the heavily guarded Zhongnanhai compound in Beijing, Situation Room at the White House, FBI Headquarters in Washington D.C., and the Palacio Nacional in Mexico City comes the breathtaking THE BEIJING MEMORANDUM.

Former Marine Gunnery Sergeant Moses Remington. Moses knew terror firsthand. He saw it during his combat deployments in Fallujah, Iraq and in the Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He saw it again in Mexico when he stumbled across China’s secret plan.

Lindsay Townsend

Author Bio.

Lindsay lives in Yorkshire, England, where she was born, and started writing stories at an early age. Always a voracious reader, she took a degree in medieval history  and worked in a library for a while, then began to write full-time after marriage.

Her first unpublished historical found her an agent and the second got a publisher in London interested. They wanted her to write with a modern setting, which she did – several romantic thrillers set in Greece, Italy or on Dartmoor in the English West Country – and enjoyed it, but historicals are really her first love.

Lindsay is currently writing medieval romance for Prairie Rose Publications and herself. She re-issued the Knight books that Kensington Zebra first accepted and published and they are available via Kindle Unlimited, all for 99 cents or 99p.

Praire Rose publish her medieval romance novels  ‘Sir Conrad and the Christmas Treasure,’ ‘Dark Maiden’ ‘The Snow Bride’ and its sequel ‘A Summer Bewitchment’ as well as several several medieval romance novellas, available as stand-alones or in anthologies.

She is also fascinated by the ancient world, especially Rome, Egypt and the Bronze Age. ‘Flavia’s Secret’, set in Roman Britain, came out from Bookstrand first, and two more historicals, ‘Blue Gold’, set in ancient Egypt, and ‘Bronze Lightning’, set in Bronze Age Greece and the Britain of Stonehenge, were also originally published by Bookstrand. Again, all these ancient world romances have now been reissued by Lindsay in Kindle Unlimited, for 99cents or 99p.

When not writing or researching her books, she enjoys walking, reading, cooking, music, going out with her husband and friends and long languid baths with scented candles (and perhaps chocolate).

Lindsay’s website is at http://www.lindsaytownsend.co.uk

Short Blurb

Can a knight and his witch save seven kidnapped maidens? Sir Magnus and Elfrida strive to find the girls, but at what cost to their marriage?

When a shadowy piper kidnaps seven beautiful girls, can a wounded knight and his witch-wife save them? Will Sir Magnus and Elfrida find them in time—and at what cost?

Magnus, the fearless, battered crusader knight, and his fey wife, Elfrida, are happily married, but each of them carries a secret. Elfrida believes that being peasant-born will one day undermine her husband’s love for her. Wounded and scarred, Magnus fears nothing—except, perhaps, that he will not be able to give Elfrida her greatest wish—children.

Their fears are sharpened when high-born Lady Astrid appears at their manor and demands their help to find the seven missing girls. Though the lady clearly regards low-born Elfrida beneath her, why has she truly sought out Magnus, a ruthless knight? Which one of the kidnapped girls does she really want to recover so badly—and to what hidden purpose?

In the scorching summer heat, Magnus and Elfrida search together for the missing girls. Will they be able to rescue them in time? And can their own marriage survive?

Eichin Chang-Lim

Bio

Dr. Eichin Chang-Lim is a semiretired optometrist, a multi-award-winning author, a wife, and a mother to 2 children. She and her husband had a private optometry practice in Los Angeles. They live in Orange County, California.

In a recent interview, the author said, “You might have noticed that romance and inspirational are my niche genres. I write romance because I find it to be an intriguing genre. Relationships are quite involved in real life. Therefore, I use romance to depict the intricacies of relationships. Ultimately, it evolves into an inspirational and thought-provoking tale. Readers will discover that I tend to tell love stories beyond the confines of romance. I strive to convey the kind of love that is much broader and more profound than romantic or physical love. I strongly believe that love is more than a four-letter word. It’s multidimensional. It involves sacrifice, forgiveness, trust, demoting one’s ego, or even ‘letting it go’ at times. I also like to encompass the love of friendship, family, and even little pets in my stories.”

“As a romance writer, I write with my heart and soul. My mindset is that if my story can make a difference in even one person’s life, it’s all worth it, and that’s what love is all about,” she added.

Eichin modeled during college in Taiwan and was in several short films, including a supporting role in the comedy Indy/feature film Winning Formula. She has written five books: FLIPPING: An Uplifting Novel of Love, A Mother’s Heart: Memoir of a Special Needs Parent, Love: A Tangled Knot, TheLoveLock, and YOUR PRECIOUS SIGHT: An Optometrist’s Most Memorable Cases

Assessment:

Plot: The plot is well paced throughout the book’s three separate segments. Although the characters in all of the segments eventually connect, the varying ages of the protagonists make the book’s genre unclear.

Prose/Style: The tight, straightforward writing style provides for an engaging and thoughtful read.

Originality: The story is full of unique details and storylines. The author offers insight to the families’ experiences through life’s highs and lows.

Character Development: The characters are layered and well-developed. Readers will root for their success and will be sympathetic to the challenges they face.

Blurb: An engaging read, depicting familial love and triumph while dealing with life’s challenges.

Judge’s Commentary #1_FLIPPING.

We begin with an engaging opening, a natural pull to wade deeper into the story. We have a lot to connect to — characters, setting, cultural traditions of Taiwan – and author excels marvelously in presenting each for the reader to easily absorb. Setting enjoys the author’s great instinct for the visual and sensory to bring each scene to life. I especially liked the gorgeous phrasing at the beginning: ‘the first scenes of their love tenderly framed.’ Just as we’re so comfortable absorbing this establishing phase, we speed up and jet into a fast pace as the pregnancy leaps into our awareness and presence. It’s a big responsibility to have the story reach that high bar of pacing and character engagement, all done so well. Author provides a nice measure and cadence of the story’s energy. Quieter characters at first seem like they need more layering (Maylan), but we soon get it that their flatness has a great amount of dimension, saying much, quietly. Very well done. We now spend a lot of time on Christa’s childhood deafness, then many details of her syndrome. To keep us from getting swallowed by all of the medical and technical issues, author saves the day with a stellar description: “she felt like a bag of twigs.” There it is, the connection to feeling! Author handled Mrs. Tang’s death scene with a marvelous instinct to avoid overdoing the death scene, only leaving us with the sinking feeling of her confusing the husband and son. Emotionally-wrought. Excellent dialogue structure and experience, a standout feature of this book. There is much to enjoy here.

Judge’s Commentary #2_FLIPPING:

Flipping: An Uplifing Novel of Love presents with a fun, busy graphically illustrated cover art design. In all honesty, it is not the best cover I’ve seen from this author, but it is okay. The production quality is very good and strong editing throughout helps to make this a great pick. What I loved most about this book was the way that this author has a fantastic reach and finesse at tackling issues and reaching the heart of the reader. Love that you had a deaf character and how you followed the journey of JonSun and SuAnn with passion throughout—their interwoven plot lines are beautifully crafted. You also do a fantastic job of realistic dialogue for the age group. That’s not easy to do! This is a nice, sweet romance that really grabs the reader from the get go. Now, I will make one editorial note about the overuse of “ly” adverbs. Be sure that you drop those whenever possible—keep your writing active. Those overused words can cause the passive “show versus tell” effect. But, no major complaints here. Great entry, as always! Thanks for sharing your world with us and best of luck with your continued writing journey.

Paragraph

Judge’s Commentary #1_Love, A Tangled Knot:

The book opens by effectively dropping the reader into a well-rounded setting with enough physical and sensory details to create a realistic and well-rounded, 3D place. The characters who inhabit this space are growing into their realism in fine pace. Author has succeeded in avoiding cliché as she creates a sense of the mundane. Not everyone has to have fireworks in their relationships and their lives, and they do a pretty good job of convincing themselves that this is fine, normal, and satisfying. The reader gets a good sense that a change is coming. Great establishment of expectation as well as connection to the characters. Author writes sarcasm well, using that tool in her dialogue toolbox to create a crisp characters and differentiate characters from one another. Kayla and Russell becoming parents is a wonderful moment where author has charged with the lesson that adversity reveals characters. While the birth of a child isn’t automatically adversity, it is a challenge for such young parents. Russell steps up and impresses with his maturity and commitment. I enjoyed the author’s choice to steer far from cliché and give the reader a fresh take on the unexpected dad. Well done. Kayla’s relief is also measured without drama, to good effect. I enjoyed the author’s creativity in physical description, such as ‘almond-colored curls’ and –my favorite of the book for its freshness – ‘rusty-looking guys.’ Author has a talent for description. The author may have telegraphed Russell’s coming legal troubles, but the reader still experiences that fall in the stomach when we realize that he’s going to be far from Kayla and the baby. We mourn the influence he could have been. Relationships evolve over time, with author avoiding any rushing of relationship turns. We end with a sense of fairness with the cooking contest, a new start for Kayla, and well-developed characters who have grown slowly and naturally into their strengths. Very well done. I enjoyed the sense of movement the author kept as a feature throughout the book, and the nicely-crafted story structure.

Judge’s Commentary #2_Love, A Tangled Knot:

Love: A Tangled Knot features great characters facing real life struggles that bring the characters to life and win over the reader immediately. I’m so excited to get to read another book by this talented author. In this book, the characters are Kayla and Russell and, yet again, I’m drawn to them early on and cheering them on through their inevitable journey. This author has a knack for the genre and way of tapping into a very volatile generation. I’m really impressed with this book. Now, the plot is not quite as strong as others I’ve read but still well-written and beautifully organized. No major editorial issues were noted. I would like to say that while the cover is nice—I wasn’t quite as blown away by it as I have been on other covers. Not a huge ordeal, but just worthy of note here. Fabulous entry and a fabulously talented author. I love that the author knows how to reach her audience (whether that by young adults or adults of any age). This book can really reach the reader on so many levels. Keep up the amazing work! I hope to read yet more from you in the near future.

<br><i>”I enjoyed navigating the hearts of the characters, feeling their desperation as the conflict reaches crisis point, and wondering what will happen next. Eichin Chang-Lim injects realism into the story and makes it feel as if it is unfolding before the reader.”</i> ~ Editorial Review

<br><i>”This author has a knack for the genre and way of tapping into a very volatile generation. I’m really impressed with this book.”</i> ~Award Judge’s Commentary

<br><i>”I love that the author knows how to reach her audience (whether that by young adults or adults of any age). This book can really reach the reader on so many levels.”</i> ~Editorial Review

Assessment:

Plot: Young love, teen pregnancy and a mistake that puts Russell Mancini away for seven years forces Kayla to grow up fast. How she survives and ultimately makes a better life for herself and her daughter makes for an inspiring story for young adults, while the twist in the middle of the book and the Hallmark movie-ending make it entertaining, as well.

Prose/Style: For a romance novel, the prose is good without being too schmaltzy. And, there are some descriptions that truly sing, like the trailer park prose.

Originality: The addition of the prison sentence that separates young lovers here is interesting. Also, the struggles the couple go through after Russell gets out of prison are well written.

Character Development: While the female lead can be a bit clichéd at times, she is strong and admirable overall. The male lead undergoes some very interesting changes throughout the book as well. The character of Dr. Nick would benefit from the addition of some of these memorable and sympathetic elements.

Judge’s Commentary #1 _ THE LOVELOCK:

The author begins the book with a very successful visual description setting the reader off on a promise of depth and experience. We get the contrast between navy ships and ‘lackadaisical sailboats that floated by with no agenda.’ By separating appearance and function in the description, the author add life to the scene, looking at a simple seascape with the eyes of an artist. Well done. When function is added to any description/setting, description better pulls us into the scene. Author does a beautiful job at making us cringe at Violet’s choices and path. We’re moved by a character we haven’t known long at all, a sign that author is succeeding at connection characterization. Author gives thought to the function of rooms, such as Edwin’s apartment, allowing us to step more deeply into them. When the story flashes back to childhood, the flashback is helped and given such authenticity by the use of shorter sentences, a staccato delivery that feels very real. Nicely done. The author has a nice ear for dialogue. Logic and pace remain grounded in realism, and carry the reader into flashbacks, returning to present, and use of comparisons such as ‘the force of their collective disapproval hit her like a wave’ adds intention and judgment to a simple look. Author’s elevated understanding of exposition – as opposed to empty simplicity, like ‘they gave her a look’ – creates a soup of personality and life in the scenes. I thought the mental health center in Arizona felt a little rushed, uncharacteristically keeping it more shallow than other scenes. We would have gotten some stellar character layering in the healing process. I know this author could have achieved tremendous heights with the handling of how characters process their surroundings. So much sensory treasure to bring into the story. Which can feel real if a setting is too sharp and raw for the character to ‘go deep.’ Plot stands as very well-crafted, circular, with breathing space at the perfect places, and exceptional voice for all characters. Well done.

Judge’s Commentary #2_THE LOVELOCK:

When it comes to The Lovelock…at first glance, this cover will draw you in, lock you up, and throw away the key. Gorgeous cover and an even better story is locked inside the pages. I fell in love with this story, the characters, and the author’s amazing writing style swept me away from beginning to end. So, basically, I loved this book. What else can I say? Okay, so on the technical side…this is clean concise writing with a smooth writing style and an author whose voice is perfect for the genre. No issue with pacing, structure, or anything plot wise. Strong skills shine through and it is obvious that this author writes a lot and quite often. There is no way to hide the fact that this writer writes. Strong character development is probably the best part of this book. I feel like I know Violet and Dylan. They are real, relatable, sympathetic characters—really intriguing and easy to read. I was happy with the plot and the ending—no black holes or unsatisfying moments or ending. And, I really appreciated the way the author handled the mental illness angle. Nicely done. My only advice would be to drop unnecessary punctuation. So, for example, if you write internal dialogue in italics…you don’t also need to say “she thought” because it is redundant. That type of thing. Otherwise, this was amazing! Thanks for sharing!

2 or 3 things about yourself that you have never revealed to your fans before.

In my childhood, we had a chicken farm in the backyard. I went with my grandma every mid-afternoon to gather the eggs. I learned how to tell whether an egg was fertilized or not by gazing at it against a flashlight, with my grandma’s help. The experiences of seeing a hen sitting on a clutch of eggs hatching out into fluffy baby chicks were always enthralling for me as a little child.

I had a rooster as a pet when I was in kindergarten. One day, he wandered away and never came home. My longing for his return and the pain of losing him lingered for a few years. I still dream about him once in a while.

Anything you would like your fans or fellow authors to know.

Every morning, I pray to God to grant me the strength and wisdom to face whatever the day throws at me, good or bad.

Blurbs from authors on book:

Romano’s story sizzles with the tension of lovers—one struggling to blend Apache ways and white, the other torn between East and West—searching for a way to join two lives going in opposite directions.

— Ruth Hull Chatlien, Blood Moon, and The Ambitious Madame Bonaparte

The Girl Who Loved Cayo Bradley, a superbly crafted romantic page-turner, is a deftly spun tale of ill-starred sweethearts in the American West. Darby, a charming farm girl, and Cayo, Apache raised, a secretive man with a disturbing past. Sparks ignite, burning intensely despite cruel circumstances to separate them—an expertly woven story with witty dialogue, fast-paced plot, and stunning, enchanting prose!

— Michelle Cox, award-winning author of the Henrietta and Inspector Howard series.

4.  2 or 3 things about yourself that you have never revealed to your fans before.

I started writing a novel when I was sixteen years old, but put it away, never to be seen again.  The reason I never finished was I didn’t think I had enough life experience, so I said to myself—perhaps you’ll write it when you’re forty!

The “Snows of Kilimanjaro” is narrated from a limited third-person point of view. While in Grad School, I rewrote Hemingway’s short story changing the POV. It turned out to be thirty-eight pages and it was a great lesson!

5.  Anything you would like your fans or fellow authors to know.

Never give up! Ever! And never forget why you began writing in the first place.  In Grad school, I remember being frustrated over my thesis, a collection of short stories, until I remembered that it was mine, mine alone, and nobody but little old me could write the way I do! Have fun with the writing, or give it up before it consumes you.

Book Description

The Secret Language of Women

Winner of the Independent Publishers Book Awards (Gold Medal, Romance)

Set in China in the late 1800’s, The Secret Language of Women tells the story of star-crossed lovers, Zhou Bin Lian, a Eurasian healer, and Giacomo Scimenti, an Italian sailor, driven apart by the Boxer Rebellion.

When Lian is seventeen years old, she accompanies her Swiss father, Dr. Gianluca Brasolin, fluent in Italian, to tend the Italian ambassador, at the Summer Palace of Empress Dowager, where she meets and falls in love with Giacomo.

Through voyage and adventure, their love intensifies, but soon is severed by Lian’s dutiful promise as the wife to another. Forbidden from pursuing her chosen profession as a healer, and despised because she does not have bound feet, she is forced to work in a cloisonné factory while her in-laws raise her daughter, Ya Chen. It is in Nushu, the women’s secret writing, that she chronicles her life and her hopes for the future.

Rebelling against the life forced upon her, she empowers herself to act out against the injustice and becomes the master of her own destiny. But her quest for freedom comes at a costly price: The life of someone close to her, lost in a raging typhoon, a grueling journey to the Yun-kang Caves, and a desperate search for beauty and love in the midst of brutality.

Reviews

“Rich with history, The Secret Language of Women offers a beautiful and harrowing landscape of love found, lost, and hunted for – at all costs and with dire consequences. Like the bound feet, so idealized in her novel, Romano’s characters are broken and reformed into both the beautiful and the grotesque. Haunting.”

―Barbara Wood, New York Times bestselling author

The Secret Language of Women is a powerful and enchanting read. A brilliantly well-written tale that takes readers on one woman’s journey. For fans of Romeo and Juliet fans this is a must read […] I loved reading Nina Romano’s stunning piece, and I recommend it to readers world wide.”

–– San Francisco Book Review

“This is a beautiful story of hope and love stronger than any adversity. Very special historical fiction that is highly recommended!”

–– Historical Novel Society

“A stunning look at China at the turn of the twentieth century, this is a love story that crosses boundaries both cultural and geographic.” – Foreword Reviews
The Secret Language of Women is visionary, ambitious, and lyrically written. One comes to the end of it feeling as though she has traveled through a time machine, into a world so different, so vivid and real as to linger in the mind long after turning the last page.”

–– Wraparound South

Author Bio

Cynthia Hamilton is the author of nine books, which include fiction, mystery and memoir. SPOUSE TRAP is the first book in her Madeline Dawkins Mystery Series, which takes place in Santa Barbara, a town she is happy to have called her home for forty years. It is followed by A HIGH PRICE TO PAY, GIRL TRAP, and THE TROUBLE WITH PARADISE. She is currently at work on the fifth book in the series.

FINDING RUTH was inspired by a photograph she found of her mother taken in 1949 while moving her into an Alzheimer’s facility. It was written as a means to discover who her mother was as a person in her own right, outside her role as “Mom”. ONCE UPON A LYME… A TALE OF TWO JOURNEYS chronicles her battle with a misdiagnosed disease and the unexpected upside of becoming a writer as a means of coping with the pain. LUCKY AT LOVE, ALLIGATORS IN THE TREES, and GOLDEN STATE are lighthearted looks at life, love and the resiliency of the human heart.

THE TROUBLE WITH PARADISE (Madeline Dawkins Mystery #4)

Life in beautiful Santa Barbara County will never be the same for two grieving widows. One is serving a lengthy sentence for the bizarre tractor death of her much older, land-rich husband. The other is convinced her husband’s death was no suicide.

During Madeline’s four-month convalescence, Steven Ridley—her jailbird ex—manages to get parole on the pretext of retraining inmates for their reentry into society. He has the audacity to enlist Mike’s help to find out if inmate Lindsay Bartholomew had been set up to take the fall for her husband’s death.

Santa Barbara D.A. Conrad Adams makes a personal appeal to MDPI on behalf of Natalie Sheckle, hoping Madeline and Mike can prove whether her husband took his own life, or if someone stitched him up for his own murder.

Never ones to shy away from longshots or lost causes, the duo dives into both cases. But now they must figure out what secrets these two men took to their graves.

Bio:

Alex Bailey was a bored writer/editor of documents as monotonous as vacuum cleaner manuals. She left that life behind to create more exciting worlds than the one she lived in, and now writes stories with a splash of magic. When Alex is not writing wild stories about her friend’s future, she tends to her organic garden while belting out show tunes. She also writes children’s books under the name of Hoot N. Holler. Some of her favorite hobbies include: embarrassing her children in public with her rhythmically-challenged dancing, cleaning the small disc around the stopper of the bathroom sink, and dallying.

  1. My daughter and I were on a gluten-free diet for years before discovering we didn’t have a gluten intolerance. I had to make everything from scratch, including bread! This was before the GF craze, so there weren’t a ton of GF foods on the store shelves. On the bright side, I’ve got a book full of great recipes that I collected and still use.
  2. I’m now on a sugar-free diet (mostly).

Once Upon a Romance

Christmas. Disney. Romance. No greater magic.

When Sophie’s eight-year-old niece, Ariel, asks Santa Claus for a single wish to honor her mom’s memory, Sophie knows she must grant it. Unfortunately for Sophie, Ariel’s wish is to ride her mom’s favorite ride on Christmas day, and it’s at the last place on earth Sophie wants to visit—Walt Disney World. It will be the first Christmas without her sister, and reliving childhood memories of her best friend is not how she wants to spend her holiday. Sophie’s only desire is to spend Christmas on the slopes with her reliable and stable beau, Darren, who has reluctantly agreed to postpone their trip until the day after Christmas.

But when Sophie runs into a charming stranger, who offers up his extensive Disney knowledge, he instantly becomes her hero. A wave of relief washes over Sophie—he may just be the one to give Ariel the magical experience she desires. And, even though Sophie doesn’t realize it, he may be exactly what she needs too.

Can a bit of Christmas magic help this ruggedly-attractive stranger win Sophie’s heart when she believes it already belongs to Darren? And will Sophie continue to allow her painful past to haunt her, or will she let it go?

A heart-warming holiday romance set in “The Most Magical Place On Earth.”

Once Upon a Proposal

Having found his true love, Ray is over the moon about his perfect plan to ask Sophie for her hand in marriage. He arranges to return to the place they met, Walt Disney World, with their two best friends, Hyun and Carlos. But when Ray’s proposal attempts are foiled at every turn, he wonders if the universe is against him.

Sophie is concerned about returning to the place that holds so many memories, even though she’d overcome a lot of her issues on her last trip. But when Sophie suspects Ray is going to ask her to marry him, she’s confused about her feelings. Ray is her dream come true, but there’s a reluctance lurking beneath her love that she can’t explain. As the proposal nears, Sophie struggles to discover the source of her hesitation. The last thing she wants to do is hurt the man she loves.

Hyun will be there for her best friend and hinder Ray’s every attempt to propose, all while avoiding Ray’s inappropriate best friend, Carlos, the beast.

But when Hyun reveals to him that Sophie isn’t ready to accept a proposal, he teams up with Hyun to prevent Ray’s heartbreak. Carlos vows to show Hyun a different side of him and win her heart.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones

When the perfectly-normal Ann Jones rants on about a bizarre and hauntingly immersive vision into her own future, her best friend, Alex, thinks she may have taken a swig or two.

After her freak encounter, Ann recounts the strange and foreboding glimpse of her future life—one that holds an unanticipated exuberance: her beloved husband dies suddenly (and questionably); she moves to the East Coast; finds love again; joins a peculiar knitting club (full of the strangest assortment of women, none of whom actually knit, but all of whom follow cult-like rules—such as, “What Happens in Knitting Club Stays in Knitting Club”); and becomes deliriously happy.

Her whole recollection leaves Alex’s head spinning with one question—has her friend totally lost it? How could anyone be deliriously happy about joining a knitting club? But when Ann presses Alex for an answer about what to do with this “future life vision experience”, Alex must decide whether this strange anecdote is just a desire to be free from Ann’s humdrum existence or a self-fulfilling prophecy. Should Alex support her friend’s “new life” or warn Ann’s husband about his impending doom . . .

Please list 2 or 3 things about yourself that you have never revealed to your fans before.

1. Writing novels wasn’t planned. I always wanted to write and illustrate children’s books, similar to Beatrix Potter.  I might do that someday still, but for now, I’m happy writing full-length novels.

2. I studied German in school, and, when I was in high school, I was an exchange student for a month in Northern Germany.  I also spent my sophomore year in college, studying in Salzburg, Austria.  I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures, which definitely shows in my writing.

Is there anything you would like your fans or fellow authors to know?

I appreciate all the support I’ve received from fans and fellow authors since I first published in 2014.  I’m so very grateful for the opportunity to interact with some wonderful people who’ve given me both support and criticism that has helped me to grow as an author.

Author Bio

When I first took up the pen and began to write, I stumbled and faltered. Wondrous tales were abandoned by the roadside as my inner critic hijacked each project. But my creative muse would not be silenced. Finally on a warm, Sunday afternoon, I gave in to its promptings with a clear declaration that I would just have fun. That decision was the key that unlocked the door to the stories that poured out. New and fantastic worlds unfolded, taking me on one of the grandest experiences of my life. Once I gave myself permission to enjoy the process of writing, I couldn’t write fast enough. Within a little over a year, I had finished the rough drafts of six books. More importantly, I was the happiest that I had ever been. Since then, writing remains my passion, demonstrating how glorious life can be when you do what you love to do. More than anything, I love to write stories and share them with my readers.
